A private space built for high-capacity lives.
You spend your days holding high responsibility, making decisions, and being relied upon.
This is the space where your body can finally drop its guard.
Restoring your baseline capacity starts here.

Meet Ashley MacKenzie
I’m a Somatic Touch Practitioner with advanced-level training in Somatic Experiencing®, specializing in executive burnout, nervous-system support, and consent-led, attunement-based touch.
I work with leaders, founders, and high-capacity professionals who are accustomed to being composed, capable, and relied upon. These individuals may understand their stress intellectually, but their bodies remain stuck in chronic bracing, over-functioning, or hyper-vigilance.
My approach is grounded in the reality that restoring your nervous system doesn't require more effort, cognitive analysis, or reliving past events.
Often what is missing is the experience of being met with a focused, deliberate presence. A private space where you can lay down high responsibility, stay grounded in your agency and boundaries, and allow your physiology to reset without having to perform or explain.
This is the foundation behind Softly Rooted Wellness.
BACKGROUND & METHODOLOGY
Before founding Softly Rooted Wellness, I spent more than a decade working in Early Childhood Education, where I first learned to pay close attention to what wasn't being said outloud-the subtle shift in someone's posture, a sudden hold in their breath, or the quiet ways the body seeks safety.
After leaving that field in 2018, I spent years studying human behaviour, mind-body integration, and subconscious change. I became certified across multiple modalities- including hypnotherapy, life coaching, EFT, NLP, and energetic practices.
While those tools offered valuable insight, I kept noticing a distinct pattern: high-achieving, high-responsibility people can rarely intellectualize or talk their way out of chronic stress.
That realization led me toward Somatic Experiencing® and specialized attunement-based touch.
Hands-on somatic touch offers something cognitive tools and talk therapy simply can't reach: a direct physical experience of dropping your guard, setting boundaries, and allowing your body to finally complete stored stress cycles.
I have completed the full Somatic Experiencing® Professional Training Program through Advanced Level II, with advanced focus on somatic touch.
Today I bring these years of study together into a grounded, physical practice- supporting leaders, executives, and high-achievers who are ready to stop managing their stress and let their nervous system genuinely rest.
